Q BBQ in LeGrange

Our friend Erick is a BBQ judge (coolest job ever!) and so we went with our friends the Hackings and the Thomas' to Q, a BBQ place in LeGrange. It was SUPER tasty!

Best parking spot EVER!

This may be lame, but I was so excited!! This is the FIRST parking space in the parking garage at the Oakbrook Mall where Tim works. We NEVER get a space this great!! I just had to take a picture!

Scouts

Cooper earned his Bear badge when we were in Idaho and here is what is cool blue shirt looks like. But does he want his blue shirt? No.



He wants the cool tan shirt that the Webelos CAN wear if their blue shirt doesn't fit them anymore. (Which his does). So this is right after purchasing Coop's new shirt (no patches on it yet) and Tim's new scout shirt (no patches yet either) after he was called to be the Bear/Wolf Den Leader. Here they are with Assistant Den Leader Joe. Love Joe.



Being new to this scout pack, Tim and Cooper were asked to introduce themselves and give a fun fact. Tim's fun fact? He got his Eagle Scout the same year his wife was born! Yep. True.

Practice

Cooper really loves his viola! He will practice a bunch more than is required. And he will randomly pick it up in his jammies and appropriately "jam" out.

Mild winter?

It's been a pretty mild winter this year. Not a ton of snow, but when it hits....boy it gets COLD!

We could not tear Coop away from this drum set. He was convinced that we had to buy them.

Sledding?

Although we have a really cool, really long driveway, Cooper chose to sled on our wheelchair access front porch ramp. Funny kid!

Another snow fall

We haven't had too many snow days this winter, but Coop will take full advantage of them when they do hit!



This is our great backyard with all these awesome trees! I can't wait to have parties out here this summer and hang beautiful lanterns that I see on pinterest!!



A perfect snow angel

Cold, but totally worth it!

We've always enjoyed going to the zoo in the winter time. You get to see different animals moving around than you do in the summer time. There was this tiger that kept "howling/barking/yelling" (not really sure what the noise they make is called). It was really cool!



Just north of the city at the Lincoln Park Zoo. Totally free and open to the public like a park.



Check this guy out. He and his buddies were all lounging about. It looks like he just couldn't be bothered with any of them.



We LOVE the meerkats. They are so fun to watch! They look out for each other for sure. There's always the one guy watching out for danger so the others can rest.

We {heart} movies!

We still love going to the movies! We found a great AMC Theater down the street from our house with a super great rewards program. So of course we have to go all the time!!

Viola

This was Cooper's first viola lesson. They start orchestra at school in the fourth grade, but we missed the first half of the year so we're in private lessons until he gets caught up. But he loves it so much that we'll probably stick with the lessons even after that. He's so fun to listen to! No, really!

DirecTV

We discovered this AMAZING channel with our NFL package where we can watch 8 games at one time!! What?! That was the coolest thing that day!
