So we swapped cars with our friends for this trip. They got our zippy little Subaru for the week and we got their fully loaded, totally sweet and completely comfortable Yukon XL. They are such a generous family and we love having them as friends. The boys had wireless headphones for the DVD player (can you say peace and quiet?) and could not have been happier about it.
And they had their little "shopping basket" to fill with snacks at each stop. (Thanks dollar store!) This saved us roughly a billion dollars by not buying gas station snacks every time. Also, we hit the dollar menus for most meals because they had chips and drinks already!! Genius I say, Genius!
